Suzuki Phils unveils new Canlubang plant |

Monday, 11 July 2011 The Philippine Star www.philstar.com MANILA, Philippines - Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) upped the ante once again, seeking to conquer the motorcycle industry as it unveiled the newest addition to the brand: the Suzuki Philippines motorcycle manufacturing plant. Hundreds of guests trooped to the Mills Country Club in Carmeltown at the Carmelray Industrial Park in Canlubang, Laguna to witness the groundbreaking ceremony. It was led by the chairman of Suzuki Motor Corp. himself, Osamu Suzuki, who flew in from Japan especially to oversee the event. He was at the forefront alongside Suzuki Philippines president Satoshi Uchida, as well as executives and representatives from the brand. Members of the government were also in attendance, with Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory Domingo, Undersecretary Cristino Panlilio, Calamba City Administrator Manuel Ladrido and Japan Ambassador to the Philippines, Toshinao Urabe. |
